On September 25, the construction site of MCC Huatian’s general contracting project — the Tieshan New Energy Auto Parts Industrial Park — achieved a key milestone. As the main crane slowly hoisted the load, the project’s first load-bearing steel column was lifted steadily, positioned accurately and set in place. The successful installation of the first steel column signals the project’s transition from foundation works to steel structure main construction, demonstrating MCC Huatian’s comprehensive capabilities and reliable performance in urban renewal projects. Representatives of the client, supervision unit and all participating construction parties witnessed the milestone event.
The project has a planned net land area of 142,190 square meters and a total planned construction area of approximately 88,433 square meters. The development comprises a 9,551 sqm comprehensive service building, an 11,089 sqm staff dormitory building, a 66,018 sqm single-storey factory building, an 885 sqm warehouse, a 755 sqm equipment room, a 113 sqm gatehouse and a 23 sqm waste room. Its building density is 48.71%, floor area ratio 1.02 and green space ratio 4.00%. Designed as a high-quality carrier for the new energy vehicle parts industry, the completed park will strengthen links across the industrial chain. It will drive high-quality development of the local auto parts and new energy vehicle sectors and support regional economic growth.
The hoisted steel column is the primary load-bearing member of the main workshop and a core component of the overall steel frame. Its installation quality directly affects subsequent main structure works and the stability of the entire project. To ensure a safe and successful first lift, the project team implemented high-standard planning and refined site management. Technical teams prepared and reviewed a dedicated hoisting plan, and delivered safety and technical briefings at all management levels. Full inspections were conducted on steel components, lifting gear and hoisting equipment. The hoisting area was cordoned off, and emergency response plans for lifting and high-altitude operations were updated to secure construction safety and quality. During lifting operations, site command, survey and installation teams coordinated closely. A total station was deployed to monitor steel column verticality and elevation in real time to ensure precise installation. The whole process proceeded safely and under full control.
Moving forward, the project team will seize the favourable construction period to advance works for Workshop No.2, the comprehensive building, dormitory building and park supporting facilities. The team will push ahead with construction while strictly observing safety requirements and quality standards. Regular site inspections, hazard identification and quality checks will be maintained. Construction workflows will be continuously optimized to improve efficiency, delivering a benchmark industrial project featuring safety, quality, environmental performance and operational efficiency.
